Flat-rate plumbing pricing
See the problem.
Know the price.
You decide.
We assess the issue in person, explain the repair, and give you a set price. You approve the work before the repair begins.

The short version
One price for the work you approve.
The flat rate comes after assessment. It covers the agreed repair, rather than an hourly meter.

Why an in-person look matters
The same symptom.
A different repair.
You want a price over the phone. That makes sense. But a description tells us what you notice; it may not reveal the cause.
A slow drain
A blockage near the sink—or a problem farther down the line.
A puddle under the sink
A loose connection, a worn part, or a damaged pipe.
Different causes mean different work. Looking first helps us price the appropriate repair and explain whether further diagnostics are needed.

A phone guess can cost you more later. If it prices the wrong repair and the cause remains, you may need another visit or more work. An assessment helps reduce that risk.
Compare at a glance
Priced by the job.
Not by the clock.
Neither model is automatically cheaper. Here is what changes for the agreed repair.
| What happens? | Hourly pricing | Our flat rate |
|---|---|---|
| How the bill is calculated | Billable time, parts, and applicable fees. | The price for the work you approve after assessment. |
| The same repair takes longer | More time can increase the bill. | The agreed repair price stays the same. |
| The repair finishes quickly | Billed time and minimum charges determine the cost. | The agreed repair price stays the same. |
| Separate work is needed | Ask how extra work is authorized. | A separate scope and price need your approval. |

Before you say yes
Your home.
Your questions.
Your choice.
- The problem: What is causing it?
- The repair: What do you recommend, and why?
- The price: What parts, labor, and other items are included?
- The options: What else could work, and what does it cost?
- The timing: What needs attention now, and what can wait?
Before booking, ask about any visit or diagnostic charges. Before approving, check the quote’s inclusions and exclusions.
If something else is found
Additional work?
Another decision for you.
Flat rate covers the agreed scope. A separate repair needs its own explanation and price.
- We explain the finding.
- You review the additional price.
- You authorize it before it proceeds.
Common questions
Know what to expect.
When will I know the price?
After the plumber assesses the problem in person and explains the recommended work, you receive a flat-rate price for that work. You approve the scope and price before the repair starts.
Can you give me a repair price over the phone?
We can discuss your symptoms and help arrange the next step. A firm repair price requires an assessment because symptoms alone do not reveal the cause, access, or parts needed. A phone conversation helps us prepare; it does not replace an inspection.
Does the price increase if the approved repair takes longer?
The flat rate is based on the agreed work, rather than an hourly meter. Taking longer to complete that same approved scope does not turn it into hourly billing.
What if a separate problem is discovered?
A separate problem or a change to the agreed work needs an explanation and a separate price. You decide whether to authorize the additional work before it proceeds. Ask what is included and excluded in your quote.
Do I have to approve the repair at the assessment?
You can ask questions, discuss the options, and decide whether to proceed. Confirm any visit or diagnostic charges before booking, and ask which issues are urgent and which can wait.
